64 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2022
Our group's December run took us up Hwy. 18 and over Onyx Summit at 8443'. While
at the top, we enjoyed a cool 20 degrees. Our Thursday run was only a couple of days after
December's snow storms. This was another one of California's most beautiful days. Bob
Cooper was Trail Boss and led the day for us. He took us through Rattlesnake Canyon off
of the 247/Old Warm Springs Road.
Thanks Bob for leading one of our best runs of 2021.
We had a great day with our group of 11 rigs, mostly Jeeps and an F-150 truck.
We left at 8 am, traveled up Hwy. 18 and over the San Bernardino Mountains to
Rattlesnake Canyon, "wheeled," and then enjoyed lunch at the world-famous Pappy and
Harriet's Pioneer Palace. Some of us had what is said to be the best burger around. It may
just be. We returned to Four Seasons about 4 pm.
If this looks like fun, join us on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the RCN
for our meetings or come join us on the second Thursday of the month for our day run.
