FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2022 45
Country Line Dancing
The class has a busy schedule this month. I will be starting a very beginner class on Feb. 1
from 1:30 to 2 pm in the Ballroom. This class is for people who have never line danced or those
that need a review. I teach approximately two dances a week. With each dance, you will learn
some basic steps and what those steps are called. Line dancing is broken down into steps,
usually 24 to 32 steps per dance repeated as the music goes on. The steps you learn each week
will be repeated in other dances in a different order, making learning new dances easier. This
class lasts two to four months depending on how you are catching on to the dances.
Our first Line Dance Party & More is on Feb. 26 from 5 to 8:30 pm in The Lodge Ballroom.
What does the "and More" mean? It means we play some music from the Let's Dance Club and from the Heart & Soul Class as well as
some popular oldies. Elizabeth and Phillip Westbrook will be our DJs for the evening. Everyone is welcome to join us. This is a free night for
dancing or enjoying some fabulous music. If you want any food, please order from the Bistro, or bring your own. This is a BYOB dance party.
Hope to see you there! ~ Martha Franck, marthafranck@icloud.com, (714) 345-8588
Let's Dance!
Remember your New Year's Resolution to get fit and have more
fun? We offer both so plan to come out and join our dance group. We
have been enjoying Slow Dancing with Style during January so much
that we have decided to continue this into February. Please plan to
come and see what it is all about!
Dancing is a fun way to exercise because it doesn't seem like
exercising! It also helps sharpen the mind while engaging your brain
to keep to the beat and remember the steps, plus the social element
that's most often missing from other fitness pursuits.
Our teachers are professionally trained dancers and instructors
offering top quality instruction at a bargain price. They have endless
patience and understanding. We students are just a group of friendly
people doing the best we can with what we have.
We meet in the Ballroom on Mondays with an open practice from
6 to 6:30 pm for all members as a review. Beginners class is 6:30 to
7:30 pm with Advanced at 7:30 to 8:30 pm and the cost is $10 per
person. Sure hope to see you there. For more information, contact
Puring or Gary Stifter (951) 922-8333 or purings@verizon.net. ~
