46 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2022 Travel Group It is with great sadness and regret that I must announce that Sharon Bond has resigned from the Travel Group Steering Committee due to health reasons. She will be missed. If anyone would like to send good wishes her way, you may contact her at sjbond2013@gmail.com. Sharon, thank you for all your hard work over the past few years. The TG Steering Committee continues to research activities for our members. The Travel Group Steering Committee members have been busy researching possible trips and working with our partner vendors to create custom trips for Four Seasons residents. The Committee members have also been compiling updated travel information, regulations/restrictions, guidelines and apps. Watch your email and the Daily Report for updated information. You may also call or text Irene Welker at (951) 275-7081 or send an email to irenewelker55@gmail.com. Also, if any Four Seasons resident wants to be added to the membership list, please send an email to Irene. In the subject line, state "New Member" request and in the body of the email, please provide your name and telephone number. With the spread of the Omicron variant, many countries' travel restrictions are frequently changing. There are a number of interactive travel maps that help you find current restrictions for counties you plan on visiting. These maps are easy to use. You place your cursor over the country and the list of requirements for entry pops up. The easiest way to find them is to Google "travel maps" to see a list of available maps. Here are a few that popped up during a recent search: • Travel Restrictions Map - Sherpa: https://apply.joinsherpa.com › map • COVID-19 Travel Regulations Map Powered by Timatic: https:// www.iatatravelcentre.com › international-travel-... • Travel Recommendations by Destination-Covid-19-CDC: https://www.cdc.gov › travelers › map-and-travel-notices. ~ Irene Welker Seasoned Solos In December, our personal calendars filled up fast but we found time to spend together for some stress-free fun. We started the month by attending the YMCA Craft Fair in Redlands to see what's new and do a little shopping. We left carrying many bags filled with purchases for family, friends and ourselves so we hope the YMCA plans the craft fair for next year. We attended a special treat at the San Bernardino Symphony for their holiday program with the second half dedicated to guest performer David Archuleta. The entire program was exhilarating and we all had a fantastic time. This beautiful and historic theater built in 1928 felt as if you were stepping back in time to days of our youth. Mid-month was our holiday party at The Summit with dinner and desserts along with a fun gift exchange game. We had such a fun time together. Our monthly birthday lunch was at the Tartan Room in Redlands and our large party had some great conversation and food, including their awesome birthday desserts. That same evening, several of us joined our community at the Bell Choir and sing-a-long in the Ballroom. We had a great time that filled us all with holiday joy. We ended the month with breakfast at Carolyn's Cafe in Redlands where the food was well worth the wait. Their coffee cake with butter was a favorite at our table (or should I say the butter with coffee cake?). Are you ready to join us for some fun? Then come to our next Seasoned Solos meeting on Feb. 4 at 6 pm in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room. We are a group of single men and women who enjoy spending time together and we hope to see you there! If you would like more information, please contact Joyce Olson at (951) 850-3055 or Nyla Cheely at (951) 285-7112. ~ Nyla Cheely Enjoying lunch at the Tartan Room (L-R) Sandy Davis, Mo Stayton, Barbara Tammany, and Monica Sarafian San Bernardino Symphony at the California Theater
