By the time this article is in print, we will already be well into 2022.
Regardless, here's to a belated HAPPY NEW YEAR!
With the ringing in of the new year, we also have some "changing
of the guard" in members of our Tennis Club Executive Committee.
Having done lots of marvelous work during their tenure on the
committee, Bernadette Martin, Lizzie Gallegos and Rebecca Flowers
have passed their batons to some new blood, effective January, 2022.
Please join us in thanking Bernadette, Lizzie and Rebecca for all their
invaluable contributions. Without their tireless effort, we would not
have been able to put on all the fun events and functions, as well as
keep the Tennis Club growing.
Coming in to fill the vacated positions are Larry Martin, MJ
Newcomer and Lou Stokes. For members of our club, I don't believe
Larry needs any introduction as everybody knows Larry, not to
mention his lovely bride Bernadette is the outgoing past president of
the Tennis Club. As for MJ, don't let the name "Newcomer" fool you
as she has been living in Four Seasons for the last three years. Lou,
who is relatively new to our community, is a tennis fanatic. You can
find Lou playing at The Courts eight days a week, if only she could
find that extra day (ha ha!). Please join me in welcoming these three
new members to the committee. We look forward to working with
them. I have no doubt that each one of them will bring many good
and innovative ideas to help make the Tennis Club even more fun in
the years to come. Chuck Beckman and yours truly will continue to
serve from 2022 to 2024.
As we all know, COVID variant cases are on the uptick again.
Unlike last year, I'd like to think we are now a bit more informed and
educated in how to put on some of our events and activities in a safer
manner here at Four Seasons. So, please stay tuned as the committee
