28 | OHCC LIVING | FEBRUARY 2022 |
February – when our minds turn to thoughts of loving… your crafts! Whether you knit,
crochet, sew, make garments, or quilt, we have ideas for you.
Our free "class" this month is on Feb. 17 at 9:30 am in the Sewing Room. We will be making a
very clever string "purse," designed and taught by one of our own members. These "purses" are
not a purse at all, but a cleverly designed container for those critical
things that you need to have with you and leave your hands free for
other things. You can sign up for this class at our meeting Feb. 3 or
contact our members at the numbers below.
For our members, we have five Brother sewing machines, a serger,
and an amazing array of knitting, crocheting, and sewing supplies
to make your projects easier, all located in the Sewing Room.
The Kneedlers and Hookers gather on Tuesdays from 3:15 to
4:30 pm, where you can pick up a new skill, share, or visit. Also,
on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm, and Fridays from 12 to 3 pm,
several quilters, crocheters and sewers will get together for "Sew &
Chats." Both of these gatherings are loosely structured and tend to
keep us in touch… there's always something to chat about!
If you are interested in participating in our activities and are not
sure who to reach out to for further info, please call Chris Sanderson
at (858) 442-1834, or MaryLu Belisle at (952) 454-1931. Also,
please visit our website, lovingly updated by Terri Eckhardt, http://
