TOPS (take off pounds sensibly) What makes us different from the others in the weight loss industry? TOPS is not a company, it is not a business or a brand. TOPS is real people — caring, giving people, who band together to help and support each other to lead healthier lives. We accept each other as we are and encourage each other to succeed. Join us! We meet at the South Clubhouse Thursdays with weigh-ins starting at 9 am and meeting from 10 to 11 am. You may visit once free of charge. We had a great time participating in the July 4th Golf Cart Parade. Special thanks to Michael and Janice Walsh for a beautiful job decorating our cart, Ron and Pat Chesnut, for the use of their four seated cart. Our theme, "Made in America" Walt Disney, won second place and a $75 food and beverage gift certificate. Great job by the Recreation Staff and the Restaurant workers for a fun filled day. On July 11, we celebrated our four year chapter anniversary with a cake made from flowers. The charter members and chapter Royalty shared the wonderful success from the last four years. We also paid special tribute to Steve Kahn who has been our TOPS Assist. Weight Recorder, our roster and name badge maker for the last four years. Steve reached his goal weight in 2009 and was chapter King. He was honored that year at our State and International Convention as Div. 4, second place winner. Steve was awarded Best Attendance in our chapter and has never had a red mark in his weight book. Steve and his wife Joan moved to the Village Retirement Community in Hemet. He will be so missed.
