We are on hiatus but that doesn't mean you should put your
cameras away. Summer is the best time to take family and
vacation pictures!
At the meeting on Sept. 9, 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse
Multipurpose Room, you can bring your summer pictures and/
or your shots from the photo trip to the Orange Empire Railway
Museum. There will be more details to
come about the September meeting. Don't
forget the Lifestyles challenge to take
fun pictures of Sun Lakes during the
summer months. Have a fun summer!

For one day only the Chorale of Sun Lakes sponsors its third
Barbershop Music Concert on Sun., Aug. 18, at 3 pm. The
middle of August seems like the most appropriate time of year
to stage a Barbershop event — what could be more Americana
than Barbershop music? Between the Fourth of July and Labor
Day is a perfect time to enjoy these four-part harmonies. This
concert promises to be even more Americana than ever!
The Barbershop Harmony Society's Riverside Chapter, New
Gang On The Corner Chorus is organizing the show and
performing with the headlining 2012 Far Western District's
Senior Champion Quartet The Velvet Frogs.
In addition you will enjoy the very accomplished Inland Empire
Sweet Adelines Chorus, and quartets from both chapters who
will perform.
Tickets will be $8 pp and will be available in the Main Clubhouse
Lobby Aug. 5 through Aug. 9, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm and Aug.
12 through Aug. 16, from 1 to 6 pm, or by calling Gaylord Spence
at 760-5486.
