Men's Golf
The weather was kinder to us in January and that allowed us to complete
our golf tournament schedule as organized by our Tournament Director,
Mike Basel. One of our tournaments included a competition for the lowest
number of putts through the full 18 holes. I mention this specifically since
the number of putts taken was a remarkable 26, equaling the CMGC record
low! Congratulations to our winning member, Hank Fleischer.
Included in our schedule for 2022 are a number of 'away' tournaments,
and in fact the first of these was arranged to be held at the Welks Resort
in Escondido in February and looks to have been well supported. I'll be
reporting results from that tournament in the April issue of The Colony
News. And remember to take advantage of the CMGC low net tournaments
that allow you to post a score and update your handicap.
