| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2022 | 55 Couples Golf Sun Lakes Couples Golf club found themselves with six more weeks of winter as Shubenacadie Sam ( AKA the groundhog ) saw her shadow and was frightened back into her burrow. Unlike the infamous groundhog, the Couples Club was not afraid! Weather be darned, this group of dedicated linksmen ( links-people ) continued their Sunday morning ritual without dismay. The day may be cold but these twosomes are HOT. Early February tournament resulted in a three-way tie for Low Gross. Follow the math! This trio of twosomes made foursomes had a total Gross score of only 57! Sharing bragging rights were Bob Palmer and Patsy Green with Ray Roberson and LaWanda Roberson, Gary Heading and Cristy Glinoga with Chuck and Joan Glenn and Bill and Kari Steinwart with Nancy Murray and Mary Wilke. Congratulations to all of you! The winners of the Two Best Ball Low Gross were David and Ellie Allred with Gary Heading and Cristy Glinoga. Low Net winners were Pete and Kim Peterson with Jim Close and Mary Wilke. While winning is awesome just being outside experiencing the beauty Sun Lakes has to offer with amazing people makes life interesting, fun and fulfilling. Come join us! Lady Niners Lady Niners Golf Club welcomed eight of our 14 new members at a continental breakfast and club meeting in February, before we did our first of the month fun game called a 'Scramble' on the Championship course. We usually play a couple of fun games and also just regular play during the month. You can choose which ones to do. Sun Lakes golf gives you that exercise, sun and fun.
