Our New And Improved Front Entrance
By the time you have read this, our new front monument will
be installed, and its surrounding new gardens will have begun to
flourish; it's been a while coming! For the past 15 months, volunteers
from both the Landscape and CIMC Committees (known as the 3+3
team) have worked tirelessly to refine the signage and rework the
plantings to be drought tolerant, attractive and cost effective once
established. And as we move into springtime, more blossoms will
be revealed!
We thank the Master Board for supporting the project, which
demonstrates the value of committees working together; not only
bringing benefit to our community, but also creating an esprit de
corps from community engagement.
The culmination of our 15-month assignment was just missed
by former Landscape Committee Chairperson, Donna Misterly, who
sadly passed away on the morning of March 1. She was an integral
part of the 3+3 subcommittee team dedicated to making this front
entry project work along with Tom Murphy, CIMC Chairperson.
Donna continued to work with the project despite her serious illness,
speaking volumes to her commitment. We carry her with us now
and thank her for her many contributions. She will be missed.
