| LIFE IN SOLERA | APRIL 2022 | 7 I am Marcia Beyer-Casem and ask for your vote for the 2022-24 election to the Solera Board of Directors. Previously, I was Treasurer and Liaison to RAAC. Currently, I am Board Liaison to the Finance Committee and Chairperson of the Welcome Committee. I had 43 years in Banking and was Treasurer for two Chamber of Commerce. I earned an MBA, and have a strong understanding of Reserves, Capital Improvement, and Operating Cost, which enables me to make sound financial decisions. I am against removing fifty-seven pine trees, because they shed pine needles. The issue was the landscapers were not removing the pine needles from the sidewalks on a regular basis. We now have a new landscaping company that will remove the pine needles. An Arborist has reported no reason to remove any of these trees. I am against hiring a security company that will have a dashcam on their dashboard and take pictures of drivers running stop signs and/ or speeding. This single service will cost approximately $200,000 per year in addition to the regular security company charges. I am in favor of using passive measures for Traffic Calming. I am currently developing a Safe Driving Campaign to bring awareness to everyone. Making it fun, informative, and frequent. I am in favor of allowing persons/groups using the clubhouse the ability to adjust the temperature in the areas they are using. This eliminates the necessity to find a monitor to adjust the temperature when needed. I am in favor of the Energy Policy, in part, for getting Solar for the Clubhouse. This would be a major savings in the electric costs and pay for itself over a brief period of time. I am in favor of a Pickleball court. Hopefully, we can work with SCE and be able to install this court in a convenient location. We need Board members that put the interest of community above personal interest. We need Board members who can make a motion, and back up the motion with research and data to support it. We need Board members who understand and obey the laws and regulations. Being on the Board of Directors and doing things against these laws and regulations is not acceptable. We need Board members who will follow the Code of Ethics, listen to all members, and remain open-minded to the needs/wants of those members. Your vote for me is appreciated! Believe in the Process.
