8 | LIFE IN SOLERA | APRIL 2022 | Having been selected to fill a board member vacancy for one year, and establishing a working rapport with the current board, I am very interested in continuing the projects and improvements that have been started since my time on the Solera Board of Directors. In that short time, I have been instrumental in making some positive changes in our community such as: 1. Doing away with the requirement for guests to have their driver's license scanned as they enter Solera. 2. Hiring a new landscape company as of February 1, 2022. 3. Changing the Meeting Rules to allow both owners of a lot to speak on an agenda item. 4. Allowing estate sales in Solera upon a resident's passing or going to a care facility. 5. Contracting with a new security guard company to start April 1, 2022. 6. Requesting proposals for a new gate entry system. 7. Moving forward with the redesign of the greenbelt to conserve water. 8. Permitting club and group leaders to control the temperature settings during their activity in the Oakmont rooms. 9. Implementing an energy policy for the club house to provide guidelines and help conserve energy. My professional career as a commercial property manager for 20 years provides me with the understanding of the operations of a large community such as Solera at Oak Valley Greens. I have also served on the Board of Directors of two community theaters in the Inland Empire. My husband Richard and I moved to Solera in October 2003 and having witnessed the development of the common areas and the community at large gives me an historical perspective which informs my current and future goals for Solera. As a board member my role is to be a positive force in Solera's continued development, looking always to enhance the life style we enjoy, while being fiscally responsible, and make Solera the "best active adult community" in the region. I hope you will support me in this endeavor. "Loving Solera and making it better!" Beverly Crowe 2022-2024 BOARD OF DIRECTORS CANDIDATE STATEMENT
