Waedekin The Architectural and Landscape committees are probably the most "unpopular" but are the ones that make this community the most appealing to live in (in our area at least). The members who make up each of these committees share their knowledge on how to maintain a certain standard of living in Four Seasons at Hemet. These are not two-hour commitments; these committee members spend countless hours in meetings and reviewing plans. They spend time inspecting the community by car, cart, or on foot. When you have company for the first time and they tell you how well maintained and nice everything looks, it is the tireless hours that these volunteers put in to keep it that way. The pandemic didn't slow down these committees; if anything, they were busier than ever before as the home improvements ramped up. The Association wants to thank the volunteer members of both committees for putting the beauty and structure of the community before all else. The Four Seasons at Hemet is the best community in the San Jacinto Valley, and you make us proud to drive through our gates! Association Appreciation Recognizes THE ARCHITECTURAL, LANDSCAPE AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS COMMITTEES Being on a committee is so much more than seeing your name on a list. Volunteering for a committee is a real commitment; at a minimum, you attend two hours of meetings a month. Many of you already on a committee are probably gasping as you read the two-hour minimum, and wondering what committee is that and how do you switch? All of the committees are essential to the health and growth of our community. Emergency Preparedness (EPC) is a committee that we are all grateful for but would rather not have to see in action. They are always working to make sure each member of this community is looked after in case of an emergency. If you live outside these gates, nobody cares if you put a sign in your window letting them know you are OK. Here at Four Seasons, you have dedicated street captains and leadership at the ready "just in case." This committee even did the research and work to make sure we are a FireWise community to help us obtain reasonable fire insurance. They worked with the County of Riverside during the pandemic to procure 1000s of disposable masks to distribute to residents. Last Thanksgiving when the power went out, it was EPC to the rescue! Maybe not an emergency, but their swift actions getting the Bistro hooked up to the generator saved many folks from missing their holiday meal. This committee does not just lay in wait for an emergency to occur; they are always working to educate and connect with residents in the spirit of being prepared. They even make sure their HAM radios are at the ready. If you don't already know your street captain, reach out and introduce yourself. The EPC provides each resident with a sense of preparedness in knowing they are not alone if something was to happen. Keep up the great work; we can't wait to see you again at a free training and BBQ. Thank you so much!
