Your Four Season 8-Ball Club continues to be in full swing,
practicing and holding two in-house tournaments each month. We
hold an 8-Ball tournament, and a 9-Ball tournament each month,
and in the future (once it's safe to do so) we plan to again play four
additional tournaments each month against senior communities in
Hemet and in Cherry Valley. One here and one there each month.
This month saw the billiard tables get re-covered. The 8-Ball Club
wants to give a big thanks to all that had a hand in getting the tables
redone.
In the fourth round of the
in-house 8-Ball tournament,
Dan Frymire sent Larry Rice to
the loser bracket only to have
Larry come back from the loser
bracket for a rematch. But Dan
Frymire was not to be denied,
taking the final match to become
this month's 8-Ball champion.
Congratulations to Dan Frymire, this month's 8-Ball champion, and
Larry Rice, this month's 8-Ball runner up.
This month's 9-Ball tournament was again a large event with the
final two matches having played on Monday of the following week.
The final match was between Jim Kelly and Larry Rice. Jim had a
shot on the 9-Ball that he would normally make 10 out of 10 times.
But, as luck would have it, Jim missed it leaving Larry an easy shot
to win the match. Congratulations to Larry Rice, this month's 9-Ball
champion and Jim Kelly, this month's 9-Ball runner up.
The 8-Ball Club plays or practices Mondays, Wednesdays, and
Fridays from 6:30 to 9 pm. If you're new to the game or have played
before, don't be shy — stop by, pick up a stick, and give us a try. Walk
in and ask for Del, Larry, or any of the members playing. The 8-Ball
Club is always looking for new members who would like to learn and
play pool to join us. There is a calendar of our events in the Billiards
Room on the 8-Ball Club bulletin board.
