| OHCC LIVING | MAY 2022 | 49 Golf Club Our golf club news is finally beginning to pick up this spring. Here's some of the latest. We have new chairs and volunteers to introduce: Tom Vaccaro is the new membership chair; Mike and Annette Guillory have replaced Tom and Marilyn Vetlesen as co- chairs of Guys and Dolls tournaments. Thanks Tom and Marilyn for all your hard work for the club over the years; Natalie Sentz is our present tournament rules chair; and Jim Kaminsky remains our webmaster. Thanks to all. As to our golf course, Bob Fisher reports that all sodding is complete, and the hydro seeding is finished on the back nine. With luck, the front nine might open in May. Some incidentals include new tee markers and disks, new sandboxes and squeegees on all the benches. No more wet butts! Our membership remains strong with 324 continuing members and an additional 96 new golfers joining our club. Our membership can look forward to our holiday party tentatively scheduled for Sun., Dec. 1 at Shadowridge. Thanks to Natalie Sentz and Darlene Fahey for setting up this event. And Debbie Machnick announced that the ladies golf holiday luncheon is scheduled for Dec. 7 at Shadowridge. With luck our course will be ready to play when this article appears on May 1! Inspiration Hill As we walk the trail at Inspiration Hill, we are always impressed by the varied community inspirations as expressed on the Donor Bricks. The trail begins by honoring our pioneer OHCC Founders, and continues with those who so bravely served us. There are bricks honoring family members, beloved pets, and favorite universities. What is your inspiration? The HOA continues to take orders for your own personalized bricks. Fill out an order form at the HOA office, and include a check for $75.
