We have a broad range of media platforms to get your message out. If you have a need for audio or video services, please complete a request form from the A/V Communications Specialist, Hernan Rojas, or from the Recreation Department. Certain restrictions apply. If you need audio and visual equipment for your meeting or event, that also has a request form so that the proper equipment can be set up and ready for your meeting or event. Hernan is ready to assist you in whatever your needs might be. There have been many comments about the program schedule for Channel 97. It is difficult to maintain a consistent schedule as the number of special programs and the length of them vary. Some Master Board meetings last only 90 minutes and others have been over three hours. Then there is the occasional town hall. This requires us to move things around on the schedule. We will be posting the most current schedule on Good Day Sun Lakes Facebook page and Sun Lakes' website. Refer to them often. Welcome May! Hopefully it will be a lucky month for all our players! Attendance for Bingo is increasing and soon our prize money will increase as well. Beverage service from our lounge is now open on Tuesday evenings. Payment can be made with a Sun Lakes member card or credit cards only - no cash. This is a big addition to Tuesday Night Bingo. Games dates will be May 10, 17, 24 and 31. We play 12 regular and three special games, and guests can play all 15 games for as little as $7 for the whole evening. Many cash and door prizes are won each week. Bingo Advisory The Restaurant & Lounge Advisory Committee is comprised of seven volunteer members each with varied skill sets and business backgrounds. Together we collaborate, advise, and make recommendations to the Master Board. The Committee includes Chair Victoria Simanton, Vice- Chair Connie Cutner, Secretary Jim Moran, and members Carole Elliott, Bea Mercado, Sharon Robinson, and Lillie Lawaetz- Sims. Springtime is here; it's a time of new beginnings and there is a whole lot beginning this month in our community. We welcome our new, full-time Executive Chef Chris Rubino. He was born, raised, and trained in Naples, Italy. He is very versatile and creative with not just new menu creations, but with a very pleasing presentation style. Make sure you take a minute to introduce yourself and welcome Chris to our SLCC family. Also new is Katya Daniel who will be providing much-needed help to Thomas. Of course, we will benefit most. Welcome Katya. Mark your calendars and make your reservations for all the fun this month will bring. Cinco de Mayo coincides with our Pool Opening Celebration. Get ready to salsa dance on the Veranda with great music, a fabulous Taco Bar all for just $ 16 per person. Fiesta like there's no mañana. On May 8, it's time to pamper mom and grandma. SLCC Mother's Day Brunch is the perfect way to show how much you appreciate and care for those who cared for you. The Mother's Day Brunch offers something for every taste with delicious food stations and decadent desserts. Whether sipping champagne, mimosas, juice, coffee or tea, enjoy this wonderful event complete with beautiful piano music. Make sure to call for reservations at (951) 769 6654. Join us on May 5th for a Cinco de Mayo themed Pool Opening Celebration. It will be a way to celebrate the start of Pool Season and an infamous Mexican holiday. Our very own Chef Chris will have a beautiful taco bar set up near the Veranda and the Lounge be serving some of their special margaritas as well as other tequila specialty drinks. We'll have some music as well, so stop by to enjoy the music, food, drinks, and good times.
