Hey, it's the A "MAY" ZING month of May! The first quarter of the year has completed itself while also preparing us for spring's awakening of the new growth and beauty that glorifies this earth, especially here in Four Seasons. Please, let's all take a moment to appreciate, give thanks and also be mindful to help preserve all we have! Everything is coming up roses - business for the Bistro is picking up, we had two birthday parties, two weddings and seven celebrations of life in the first quarter of this year. The tomahawk steak for two (a special purchase) was a real "forget-me-not" experience and greatly enjoyed. The happy sunflower is unique in that it follows or faces the sun from sunrise to sunset, and also has tasty edible seeds. Some of those tasty seeds might be something good to take with you to the pool to snack on or you could order to-go-food from the Bistro, just remember to dry off, put your beach wrap on and pick your food up at the counter. Food CAN NOT be delivered to the pool, the staff is far too busy inside to take food out there. There are so many beautiful flowers, Peony, Daffodil, Daisy, and Violet to name a few, we all have our favorites, they are symbolic, have wonderful aromas and they please the eye as well as heal our heart. Like the varieties of flowers, we also like a variety of foods to eat. As some of you have mentioned, you would like more variety on the menu. Francisco understands and will work with you on that. I'm going to tip-toe through the "Tulips" here and ask you to give us some suggestions! Please, write them down and drop them off to the waitress on duty or email them to me or anyone on the Bistro committee. We have three special holidays to celebrate this month. Veteran's Day on the eighth which celebrates the end of WWII is well remembered by the "Poppy" which is the symbol of respect to our veterans who have watched or are still watching over us. Francisco our kitchen veteran, who safe-guards the meals coming out to us has retained his "Class A" certification again from the health board. Mother's day also falls on the eighth, "Carnations" are the significant flower for Moms, red for living and white for those that have passed. Francisco will have his regular Brunch menu as well as prime rib for Mother's Day. As of this writing, there will be two seatings, so make your reservations now to get your time slot and watch for the email blast for updates! Tracie Rodgers was stopped from running from duty to duty long enough to pull the winning "Sunday Brunch for Two" ticket. The lucky winners are Linda and Murat Day. Congratulations and thank you for having your photo included! By now we have concluded the election of officers to our BOD, congratulations to you all, and thanks to each of you for the time and work you put into making Four Seasons all that it is! Special thanks to Greg Rockvam, one of our Bistro liaisons who has retired, you will be missed.
