| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MAY 2022 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA Summer is almost here! Our community has weathered the COVID-19 pandemic and we hope the worst is behind us. Thanks to all of you for being patient through this ordeal. Now if only gasoline and food prices could start dropping! So, what's been going on? Community Survey: Thanks to all who filled out the survey, the Board is reviewing and evaluating the results and they will be informing the residents once their review is complete. Social Committee: The Social Committee and Activities Director are planning all kinds of events for the remainder of 2022. Please keep an eye out for announcements and check out the posters in The Lodge displaying the upcoming events. E-Blasts: E-blasts providing valuable information are going out regularly to inform and notify residents of upcoming events and activities. Upcoming Projects: The Board has been very busy approving projects and will also be reviewing recommendations from the committees for upcoming projects. Many of these projects are listed in the committee section of the magazine. DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER! It is apparent that many residents (some new) assume that we (Mari, Tracie, Maria, and me) make decisions you don't like, make up the rules you don't agree with, and deny your architectural plans. Not true. The Board of Directors make all of the final decisions, approve the rules, and directs the committees. The committees and management team are the messengers who forward resident concerns to the Board and then carry their directives out. The Board granted authority to the management staff to assist in enforcement of the rules and CC&Rs. The Board also granted authority to the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) to approve or deny resident's plans and exhibits, not the staff. We are merely the letter writers (messengers). So, if you have any association-related concerns or issues, please don't take it out on our staff; they are doing their best to help you. Please submit your concerns in writing and either drop them off at the front desk (or via email) and we will make sure your concern goes to the Board or the appropriate committee. I have guests coming, what do I do? We are reminding residents to please log any guests or deliveries into dwellingLIVE so ALL guests can be checked into the system. If you need help logging your guests into dwellingLIVE, please call the front desk, not the gatehouse. Keeping you informed: If you are not receiving our emails, PLEASE SIGN UP! If nothing else, the current worldwide events have shown us the importance of keeping up electronically with current events and issues that affect you as a Four Seasons resident. Stop by the front desk and take a minute to fill out the E-Blast Authorization Form. Welcome to the newly elected Board! Our management team's goal is to partner with the newly elected Board and ensure they receive accurate information from the committees, continuing education on current HOA legislation, our expertise and total support in their decision-making process. This community has greatly benefited from the past Board's experience, wisdom, and knowledge. Lastly, on this upcoming Memorial Day, let us all pause to remember the sacrifices that our veterans have made. To all of our resident Veterans, we want to say "thank you for your service!" We owe all of our military a huge debt of gratitude for their service, especially the fallen soldiers, for our country's freedom. May you and your family have a safe and peaceful Memorial Day!
