6 SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | MAY 2022 With warmer weather on the horizon, heating up the house with cooking seems so undesirable. I have received multiple requests for food trucks not only as a substitute for catering at our events but also as an event itself. I have done the research for both past and new food vendors and unfortunately this is not feasible for our community. Many food trucks want a $1,000 minimum or 200 person guarantee in order come out for catering, or for a food truck event. This community's most attended event this year only yielded an attendance of 91 people. If you were fortunate enough to attend the Spring Luncheon you were able to experience the culinary wonder that is Chef Cal, when available, I do plan on having Chef Cal return for our catered events. My goal is to raise the quality of food being served at our community events so that this community's residents receive more "bang for their buck." Lifestyle Report By Teri Collett
