| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JUNE 2022 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA Summer is here! On May 25, the newly established Board returned to perform their duties. Congratulations to incumbents Barbra Balser, Tony Criscenti and Fred Kydd and new Director Mary Reyna for being elected to the Board of Directors! Mary, we look forward to partnering with you through your journey as a Board Member. Thanks again for volunteering to serve the community. Now on to a topic that has recently been discussed: Are residents safe in Four Seasons? The answer is yes. Have we had some suspicious characters in the community? Yes, we have. After management and roving patrol checked these persons out, some were younger persons visiting family members. A small percentage were reported by residents to Hemet P.D. Recently, we have had reports of alleged suspicious persons and during the course of investigating the allegations, the actions of the management team handling the issues were called into question on social media. After further investigation, we were informed the post regarding the issue was removed. In August of 2020, Hemet Police Chief Eddie Pust met with the Board. He showed the Board a crime map and it showed very little events (of all kinds) in our community. After review of the map and discussion, the Chief stated that "Four Seasons is the safest community in Hemet." This meant one of two things; Either residents failed to call 911 (for any number of reasons), or there was no crime to report. Chief Pust reiterated the importance of residents witnessing suspicious persons or activity to call 911 NO MATTER WHAT. The dispatchers will filter the calls accordingly and either send a patrol vehicle out or a Community Service Volunteer to take a report. The other reason to call 911 is the call is logged into their system and if we ever experience a rash of trespassers, prowlers or suspicious persons and these are reported, HPD will respond with extra patrols. More importantly, we want to be sure we have factual, verified information BEFORE anything is sent via the community e-blast system or posted on social media sites. Not all information that has been posted (with good intentions) has been factual. This verification takes time and residents need to be patient through the process. Management and the Board do their best to process information and investigate each situation quickly so we can let everyone know if there is reason to be watchful. The big reason? We want to limit liability/legal action exposure to the Association and its members. We always recommend protecting yourselves and your property by locking your vehicles, gates, doors and windows. There are many video camera options available nowadays and they are pretty cost effective. Have a good June and Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandpas and great-grandpas. We hope you can spend time in your "Man Caves" with your family members!
