FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2022 45 Country Line Dancing Our Country Line Dance Party on May 30 was a huge success! We danced from about 6 pm until it was time to shut it down and clean up the room. Mark your calendars for our next dance party on Aug. 27, so you won't miss it. We had some new guests that learned a couple of dances and were so excited to do so. Most people can learn how to dance, they have just never had anyone patiently and slowly teach them the steps. Once you learn about 25 steps, you can easily learn more dances. The common steps are used in many songs, just in a different order. The people in the very beginner class which just ended learned about 16 dances. All the classes are filled with music, exercise, and laughter. We call missteps a modification. We are there to learn, meet new people, and have fun. I want to thank the advanced dancers that help in class each week. They teach dances, they help others who are struggling with a dance or even steps within the dance, they lead dances whenever I need it. In short, they act as assistants for whatever needs doing at the time. The classes are comprised of very caring, giving people and I am so grateful for them. Our July classes will be Beginner at 2 pm, Intermediate at 2:45 pm, and Advanced at 3:30 pm. Please watch the Breeze and the Daily Report for start dates on the next Very Beginner classes. Hope to see you someday on the dance floor. ~ Martha Franck, marthafranck@icloud.com, (714) 345-8588 Heart & Soul Line Dance Tired of the treadmill and looking for a fun way to stay fit and healthy? Come out and kick up your heels with us as we learn to line dance. Line dancing is meant to be fun; don't be intimidated if you are a beginner. We all started as beginners. Practice is key. Look around the dance floor and you will probably see people stumbling, tripping, and stepping on toes… and they're probably laughing about it! All the steps are broken down into easy-to-follow patterns. And it is not necessary that you get the entire dance on the first go around; just stick with it, it will get easier each time. We gather Wednesdays, 4 to 6 pm in the Ballroom (unless otherwise notified). Arrive on time, wear comfortable shoes (no flip- flops), and bring water. Have any other questions? Please feel free to call me Priscilla at (909) 239-6464. See you on the dance floor! ~ Priscilla Robles
