FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2022 47 Your Taste d'Vine Wine Club invites you to spend a fun- filled evening figuring out "Who dun it?!?" featuring 19 Crimes Wines. 19 Crimes is an Australian wine built on authentic stories of rebellion, defiance, and perseverance. In England, starting around 1788, if you broke any one of the specific 19 Crimes you were banished to the Australian penal colony. Join us June 16th (we meet the third Thursday of each month) in the Ballroom. Doors open at 5:15 pm with the meeting starting at 6 pm. Please bring a favorite wine to share with your table, along with an appetizer such as crackers, cheese or fruit. Also, please bring two glasses for tasting. The cost is $5 for members and $10 for resident guests. Look for your Bacchus Letter via email for any further information! For info, please contact Gracy Luna (951) 292-3624. ~ Gracy Luna Taste d'Vine Miei Amici (My Friends) The May Italian American Club meeting was canceled due to two other fun-filled activities. First, the Second Annual Matzo Balls vs. Meatballs Invitational was held on May 22 at The Summit. This was a sports competition and barbecue sponsored by the Italian American Club and Jewish Cultural Club. If it was anything like last year's event, a great time was had by all. Last year the Meatballs overcame the Matzo Balls in a closely- contested competition. It was all in good fun and enjoyed by all who participated and watched. While the event took place too late to announce the winning team, the outcome of this year's event will be reported in the Daily Report and mentioned in next month's Breeze. The Italian American Club also planned a May bus trip to Los Angeles area to Eataly, an Italian marketplace. There were 56 tickets sold for this bus trip, and hopefully will be the first of many trips to come. There will be more information on the trip to Eataly in next month's article. You do not have to be Italian to join our group and come to our meetings. Club membership is open to all residents, so put our meeting dates on your calendar and plan to attend. We would love to have you visit with us. Our next meeting at The Courts will be on June 9 at 5:30 pm. To all our Italian American Club members and all the residents of Four Seasons, please stay safe and healthy. ~ Barbara Dipoma, (805) 377-2616 and Jerry Monahan, (951) 212-8898 Italian American Club Platonic Pals Ladies and Gentlemen, Platonic Pals wants you to come and join us. We are a group of people who are alone and would like a pal or a friend to go places with so we don't have to go alone, such as events put on by Four Seasons or day trips by the Travel Group. How about the movies or shopping or going out to eat? Maybe you would like to have a small gathering at your home or an evening of cards and games? Perhaps you just need someone to talk to once in awhile? Whatever the reason, we are here so come join us. Gentlemen, we know that there are a few of you who live alone, so don't be shy, come and join us and we will find you a Pal too. We meet the first Wednesday of each month at 10 am in the RCN Main Room. For more info, call Joni at (661) 390-5512 or email joanntruelsen@yahoo.com. ~ Joann Truelsen
