FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2022 53 Intercessory Prayer group Jewish Cultural Club Greeting friends and neighbors… There are many activities that keep us busy. There are times that we need to make a to-do list so we won't leave anything out. In the Garden of Gethsemane, a question was asked, "Could you not tarry one hour?" Matthew 26:40. Nelson Mandela said, "It always seems impossible until it's done." Mandela said, "If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else" and this is what we do when we pray for people we know and people we don't know. It is an honor to pray for our community and those outside of our community. Come with your prayer list and we will agree with you. I can tell you personally that prayers are answered. In 2018 I was diagnosed with cancer, many people began to pray for me, before and after my cancer surgery, I will always be thankful for the many prayers, cards, and calls of encouragement I received. The prayers of the intercessors pulled me through a very bad time in my life. Again, in 2020 the cancer I had from 2018 metastasized to my lung and the intercessors began to pray and agree again for healing to take place in my body. I am presently in remission. Come and agree with us in prayer for our families, friends, and neighbors. We meet the first Monday of each month at 9 am in the Game Room. Email me at eaglewatchwb@aol.com. ~ Cookie Bonner The Jewish Cultural Club has taken a few months off of activities, but we are back. As of this date, May 8, we are preparing for the Second Annual Meatballs/Matzo Balls athletic contest. The event was May 22. Last year's inaugural contest was won by the Meatballs. We are all preparing for this year's contest and look forward to reporting a BIG W by the Matzo Balls. The Jewish Movie Night is back on July 17, at 5 pm at The Lodge. The film we will be showing is The Other Son (by French writer/ Director Lorraine Levy). The story is about two baby boys switched at birth, an Israeli boy and a Palestinian boy. This drama unfolds in many unexpected ways, and delivers an amazing story of how two families on the opposite ends of the political spectrum find a way to accept the truth, and live with its consequences. The story gives hope to a world in conflict. Refreshments will be served before the movie. Please contact us via Perry Goldstein, at perry.goldstein@gmail. com, if you have any questions. We hope to see you there. ~ Perry Goldstein
