FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2022 7 By Cindy Graves It's already summertime! Gee whiz time flies! I sure hope you get this magazine before June 1 because on that Wednesday, June 1, will begin our "Movies under the Stars" in the Amphitheater. The movie is Yesterday about a struggling musician who becomes the only person to know that the Beatles existed so he begins to sing their songs… it's supposed to be a very entertaining movie and it'll be fun to go watch it at the Amphitheater. Bring a chair and a blanket in case it gets chilly. It starts at 8 pm and we will keep The Lodge open until the end of the movie. If you're a Veteran, plan to participate in the Veteran's photo shoot (time to be determined) that the Camera Club is doing for our upcoming Nov. 11 Veteran's Day. They have generously offered to take pictures of our resident Veterans so that we can use them for a display that we're having to accompany the rest of our festivities. The Photo Club will be gifting these photos and Veterans can take them home after the program is over. Thank you, Veterans, for helping us out with this project. The Step-It-Up Line Dancing will be having another fun "Barn Burner" Dance on Saturday, June 11 at 5 pm in The Lodge Ballroom; that'll be super fun for all of you line dancers! There's no price of admittance and everyone is welcome. If you are a crafter or baker or someone who would like to be a part of the Fall Craft Boutique on Oct. 15, then don't miss the mandatory meeting and table lottery in the RCN on Wednesday, June 15 at 6 pm. If you can't make the date but still would like to participate, please send someone in your stead. The price per table is $5, so please bring a check or credit card; we can't take cash. See you there! She's back! Gail Lindeboom is back with another awesome version of the favorite group-participation game "Majority Rules" on Friday, June 17 at 6 pm. Stacy from the Kopper Kettle is also going to offer a Mexican Buffet in the Ballroom for only $20. This will include fresh margarita mixes; all you have to do is bring the tequila! This is a free event and you'll love it if you've never been to one before. There are even prizes! Karaoke takes place this month in The Lodge Ballroom on Saturday, June 18 at 5 pm. Start practicing now and blow your neighbors away with your mad-singing-skills! Feel free to bring in your favorite beverages and food and mingle with the best performers in the neighborhood. Speaking of performers… you've got to come to the live Radio Show, Hope For Tomorrow. It was originally put on by these "Shut- In-Theater" performers during the pandemic. It was such a big hit then that they have agreed to do it live on stage in the Ballroom. It is hilarious and you'll want to take advantage of this show while you can see it free, because as soon as the rest of the world hears about it, they'll be taking it on the road for a fee. It will be table seating, so you can bring in your food and beverages. The show starts at 6:30 pm on Saturday, June 25. Lastly, the Amphitheater will be showcasing the band "DysFunksion" on Sunday, June 26 at 7 pm. There was some confusion about when you can put your chairs out for the concert, but so you know now, you can put your chairs out no sooner than 7:30 am on the day of the concert. Looking forward to seeing you there!
