FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2022 43 Another beautiful day in the neighborhood was in effect for our May 7 Cars and Coffee gathering. With over 25 cars and their owners present, and some adorable four-legged attendees, this proved to be a fantastic venue for car enthusiasts to mingle and have conversations with each other. Newcomer Terry Phelps showed up with his good- looking orange 1972 Chevelle. I personally have a very soft heart for Chevelles having owned a 1965 SS and a 1970 SS during my younger years. Terry and his wife Jane have lived in Four Seasons for six years. We are still in the beginning planning stages for our Veterans Day Four Seasons Car Show. There is a lot of planning to do; if any of you have experience or suggestions for a Car Show, please contact me or Rick. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. Please join us the first Saturday of the month at 9 am in The Lodge parking lot. Our next meeting will be June 4. We hope to see you there. For additional information, please contact Rick Morales at (951)797-3782 or Onemth53@yahoo .com or Frank Morales at (951) 203-4578 or fmoralesjrinc@aol.com. Until next month, everyone have a great and safe month of June. ~ Frank Morales Cars & Coffee Our Book Club selection for June 14 is Miss Benson's Beetle by Rachel Joyce. Here is a brief description from Amazon.com: "It is 1950. London is still reeling from World War II, and Margery Benson, a schoolteacher and spinster, is trying to get through life, surviving on scraps. One day, she reaches her breaking point, abandoning her job and small existence to set out on an expedition to the other side of the world in search of her childhood obsession: an insect that may or may not exist — the golden beetle of New Caledonia. When she advertises for an assistant to accompany her, the woman she ends up with is the last person she had in mind. Fun-loving Enid Pretty in her tight-fitting pink suit and pom-pom sandals seems to attract trouble wherever she goes. But together these two British women find themselves drawn into a cross-ocean adventure that exceeds all expectations and delivers something neither of them expected to find: the transformative power of friendship." Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am in the RCN Room #3, and someone volunteers to lead the discussion about the book we have chosen for the month.
