Last month was a short list of adventures. With the combination of spring break, family and friends spending time together, or finally going on a trip that was canceled many times due to the COVID situation. There is a definite pattern to our adventures – all of our adventures begin, pause, or end with a meal. Well, you got to eat, right? The Seasoned Solos have empowered many members to appreciate socializing together again and getting out of their homes. We all feel blessed to have such a fun and caring group. So let us recap last month… We attended a fun movie at the local theater and had good conversation and food at our local La Casita Restaurant. Our birthday lunch was again at Shiki Sushi and Sports Bar in Redlands. Our large group for Teppan required two grills and two chefs who entertained us while preparing our delicious lunch. The birthday girls were served green tea ice cream with lots of spoons and we all had a taste of the creamy, yummy dessert. We also attended a tea at a restaurant in Redlands. This was a rustic version of a traditional English tea so now we know. We then took a short walk to Mozart's and had fun shopping for eclectic goodies for us eclectic ladies! The last event was a tour of the Kimberly Crest House in Redlands. What a beautiful home with original furnishings and woodwork along with gorgeous glasswork and art. The grounds were beautiful and had a stunning koi pond and fountain. Our next meeting of the Seasoned Solos is Friday, June 3 at 6 pm in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room. Stop by and join us on what we will plan for June! Please contact Joyce Olson at (951) 850-3055 or Nyla Cheely at (951) 285-7112.
