Pam will be directing Bertha, the Beautiful Typewriter Girl, a great American melodrama. Auditions will be on June 14 at 2:30 pm following our general meeting (or by appointment). There are parts for five males and five females. Performances will be Oct. 27-30. Classes meet June 5, 12, 19, 20, and July 17 and 25 in the South Clubhouse from 4 to 6pm. JOIN OUR GROUP Playhouse members love visiting local theater production. In May, we went to Beaumont to see Always… Patsy Cline. The show was sold out and our members benefited from the group discount rate. Join our club and carpool with our members to see future shows. Summer fun at the Sun Lakes Playhouse. Members and their guests are invited to a BBQ on June 15 at 5:30 pm in the South Clubhouse. Mouthwatering burgers and dogs with all the trimmings will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert for all to share and BYOB. Water will be provided. All members and guests are asked to send a $5 check payable to the S. L. Friendship Club will be dark this month due to the events of Charity Week but we will return in July with another fabulous show starring Jordan Bennett with Music of the Beatles. When you attend a Jordan Bennett concert, expect the unexpected. Yes, he has a big voice, but he is also a unique and multi-faceted entertainer who understands how to captivate and surprise an audience. All of Jordan's shows contain some of those signature bizarre inventions of his that will make you roar with laughter. You see, Jordan began his career performing with some of the greatest comedians of our time. That may be the reason he has been described as having "a wicked sense of humor." As an arranger and songwriter, he has the capacity to make each performance a unique experience. Each concert is an event you will not soon forget. Sun Lakes residents are invited to join the Friendship Club and be entertained by Vegas style entertainment up close and personal. Enjoy reduced prices for each of our shows as a member of the Friendship Club. Membership Fee is $25 per person for the year that gives you a $5 discount for each show. Tickets for each show are $20 for members, $25 for non-resident guests. Doors open at 6 pm with OPEN SEATING, and the show begins at 7 pm.
