| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2022 | 35 Our May entertainment was Sun Lakes own Tin Man's Heart with Mike and Lee Stone. They have performed for the 80s Club before and have been greatly appreciated. This month they didn't disappoint. Their wide range of music is impressive and some of their selections were Chad and Jeremy's A Summer Song as well as He Don't Love You, Eight Days a Week and Boy from New York City. Mike is also an incredibly talented songwriter and they sang us one of his original pieces about and entitled "B" Western Cowboy which was fabulous. He promised when they come next time they will do more of his own originals. Some of the ravings I heard were about their harmonizing which was beautiful and a lot of comments about his original song which was not only great but also very entertaining. We love you, Mike and Lee! The 80s Plus Social Club meets once a month for socializing, a catered meal, first- rate entertainment, and pampering. It is for 80 year olds and better along with their spouses or significant others (no matter their ages). However, if you're close in age, come on in – we welcome you. Many have joined us before they turned 80 and we are glad to have them, too. You're also welcome to bring guests, whether family members or friends. Anyone is welcome to join us once to give us a try before actually joining. Annual dues would be due by the second visit. Our gatherings are the first Saturday of each month at 3 pm in the South Clubhouse. So our July get-together will be July 2 with a deadline to sign up of June 25. To sign up, please drop your check off to Donna Harrington at 5393 Riviera. Please make the checks out to 80s Plus Club. Our dinners are $16 and our dues are $10 per calendar year. For more information about our club, please feel free to contact either Diane Aarhus at (951) 797-3676 or Donna Harrington at (909) 561-5066. 80s Plus Club Ladies, would you like to meet new friends and enjoy breakfast? Come share a morning with Arlene's Breakfast Club. This group was founded by a long time Sun Lakes resident, Arlene Vella, to join fellow widows together to share their stories and enjoy breakfast. The group grew to include more than just widows, as the ladies invited friends to join them. Arlene has moved from Sun Lakes, turning the group over to Patti Donatini to continue her vision of fellowship. Most months we have a guest speaker and we support our local veterans. No dues - just pay for your meal. We meet the second Thursday of each month at 9 am. We are now meeting in the Main Clubhouse Sandwedge. Please contact Patti at (951) 769-3271 for more information. Open to all Sun Lakes residents. Arlene's Breakfast Club
