4 SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | JUNE 2022
By Daniel Mendez, Chairperson, EPAC
TEPAC GUEST SPEAKER We were honored
to have Jay Cregeen come to the Mountain View
Lodge to speak to any resident who wanted
to know more about Community Emergency
Response Training. Mr. Cregeen is the Emergency
Services Coordinator for the Hemet Fire Department. He has a list
of tributes from his years of serving the fire department, working as
an EMT, and in security. We expect to see more of him at SDV as he
has offered to educate us (by "us," I mean any resident who wants to
attend) on how to recognize various medical emergencies and when
to call 911 or what we should be doing while waiting for help to arrive.
He will oversee some of the EPAC drills and offer
advice on what additional steps we should take or
perhaps show a better way to conduct our drills.
We really look forward to each of his visits.
As for the CERT training, Mr. Cregeen said they
will be starting back up this summer but dates for
the training have not been set yet. A blast or two will be sent out
to the community to anyone interested in taking the FREE course
once we have the information you'll need. The EPAC Committee is
dedicated to helping our SDV community not only in the chance of a
disaster, but also in everyday activities.
