Quilting Enthusiasts The June meeting was conducted by Jeri Sorenson on my behalf. The group welcomed another new member, Christine Wray. Christine, we can't wait to see the quilts you've made. At our May Sit-n-sew, Penny Key, showed us her donation quilt "Storm at Sea Quilt" in beautiful blues and sea-foam greens. Speaking of donation quilts, on June 8, eight quilts were presented to the Beaumont Police Department for use at their discretion to those in need. The members have chosen to put making donation quilts on hold as we prepare for our Second Annual Quilt Show, Sept. 10 in The Lodge Ballroom. If you have family quilts or quilts that you've made and would like for others to see your work, watch for the August article on details for showing your quilt and the requirements to enter your quilt, no charge. The most exciting news is that there will be not one but two quilts that will be raffled. The ticket price is $1 per ticket. Watch for photos of the quilts in the August Breeze. ~ Mary M.
