FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2022 51 Travel Group Mark your calendars everyone! The next Travel Group meeting will be Saturday, July 16 from 10 am to noon in the Ballroom. We have another exciting session planned. Our meetings are open to all Four Seasons residents, so come one, come all. There will be a special presentation by Jerry Hagen from Silver Lining Travel. He will provide information on Silver Lining's upcoming tours, including one day coach tours, multi-day domestic trips, foreign trips, and cruises. His presentation will include special events such as John Fogerty at the Hollywood Bowl, Diana Ross at the Hollywood Bowl, a Sunset Luau at the Catamaran Resort in Mission Bay, and much more. Several Travel Group members went to the Walt Disney Concert Hall on May 29 to watch Gustavo Dudamel conduct Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. It was an amazing concert! I have attended several productions of this symphony and listened to many more on radio and television. I must say that this was absolutely the best production I have heard or seen. Everyone who got on the bus at the end of the concert was smiling and some were even humming An Ode to Joy. Oh my, a lovely time was had by all. Watch your email and the Daily Report for updated information on upcoming Travel Group trips and information. You may also call or text Irene Welker at (951) 275-7081 or send an email to irenewelker55@gmail.com. Also, if any Four Seasons resident wants to be added to the membership list, please send an email to Irene. The subject line should state, "New Member Request," and in the body of the email, please provide your name and telephone number. ~ Irene Welker Seasoned Solos Hello to all! We love the warmer weather which allows us to get away a little easier, but we know the heat is around the corner for the next few months. Although the Seasoned Solos group planned a shorter list of events as we await the summer concert series and travel has finally opened up, our time together is always fun. Since there were no birthdays to celebrate in June, we had an "un-birthday" breakfast at Polly's Pies in Hemet. We enjoyed wonderful conversation during the carpool ride to the restaurant. We all had a good time and look forward to seeing our friends old and new. We also had a pool party at The Lodge pool during one of the Amphitheater concerts. Everyone brought games to play and lots of snacks and finger foods to share. It was a lovely evening and everyone had an enjoyable time. On Memorial Day we had a barbecue at The Summit. The grill was fired up and there was plenty of food to share. Some of our single friends within our community joined us for the fun day. We played games and enjoyed delicious food – I must say we have some excellent cooks and bakers. We hope you can join us at the Seasoned Solos meeting next month at The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room. We are seeing new community members at our meetings and we would like to meet you! Please contact Joyce Olson at (951) 850-3055 or Nyla Cheely at (951) 285-7112. Have a fun day! ~ Nyla Cheely
