FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2022 59 Summer has arrived. The scorching summer heat is rapidly descending upon us. While having fun out there, it is so easy to forget that our body needs water, especially when the temperature reaches the 90s and above. Unfortunately, often we don't realize that we are dehydrated until it's too late, the result of which could sometimes be life threatening. Just remember, we are not camels. So, please, please, please keep hydrating while sweating out in that hot sun. Please don't wait until you feel so thirsty that you must drink some water. If someone gets injured or becomes sick, such as being severely dehydrated or having a heat stroke and needs medical attention, most of us would know to call 911. However, when the 911 operator asks, "What's the address of your location," do you know it by heart? I will admit that I didn't until I started thinking about this issue. (By the way, the address for The Courts is 395 Four Seasons Circle.) This address is posted inside the lobby and on a green-colored plaque at the gate into each of the four tennis courts. Being able to inform the 911 operator of this address quickly could mean life or death for the person who may need medical assistance. So, please make a mental note of this piece of important information. You never know when you might need it. Should someone suffer from a sudden cardiac arrest, there is an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) device inside The Courts lobby and another one mounted on the pillar facing the lobby just outside Court #2 and #3. Furthermore, our community holds CPR/ AED training classes periodically right here at Four Seasons. Even though the class is not a prerequisite for using the AED device, I encourage you to attend one of those classes when it is offered. See you all at The Courts! Paddle tennis is a perfect sport for most, including current or former tennis players. Members have fun and range from beginners to experienced players. Skill level is not a criterion for joining. One good thing about our group is that if you don't feel like playing, you can sit out. After you rest and recover, you can join in again, or just watch the game while relaxing. If you want to give it a try, check the Breeze for schedule for play times. See you at the paddle courts. You don't need to purchase a paddle when coming to play the first time. We have extra (retired) paddles you can use. Please join us. ~ Syed Ali, (909) 210-9359 Paddle Tennis In case of emergency, know the address for The Courts (395 Four Seasons Circle) and where the AED device is located
