This is the time when we congratulate everyone for sticking it out through what was a somewhat difficult year. We will be taking a hiatus during the summer months, as we normally do, and hope that everyone enjoys the break. Stay tuned to see what we will be doing starting in the fall. Jean International Dancers IDS dancers joined in the birthday celebration for Father Dennis Legaspi of the local St. Kateri Catholic community. IDS will present DANCE - INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE OF LOVE on Sat., Aug. 6 and Sun., Aug. 7. Tickets are $12 and will be available in the Main Clubhouse lobby from 9 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday, July 11-15 and July 18-22. Our dance program is eclectic, the guest performers exciting, and the international costume parade unique and beautiful. Cocktails will be available for purchase. Also, an interesting selection of items will go to the highest bidders at silent auction, so come early and remember to bring a checkbook or cash in case something strikes your fancy. The Sun Lakes Strummers are strumming and singing in the Bus Room on Thursdays (except the third Thursday of the month) from 1 to 3 pm. Al Morton continues doing an amazing job and now assisting Al is Greg Nicholson. Greg has taught ukulele for 30 years. He is going to teach advanced techniques of playing the ukulele and bring us new music to play. Come and join us to see what new things are happening as the leaders, both Al and Greg, present us with more skills to play this simple instrument.
