34 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2022 | REMINDER: Our July gathering is Sat., July 2 for those who have already signed up and paid. Our June gathering featured Fusion, consisting of Nancy Ford who sings with three of our 80s Plus Members: Susan Fitzpatrick, Sandy Haines and Bruce Dills. The three ladies also form a trio called Pizzaz and sang several songs separately. The quartet, Fusion, sang old favorites such as What a Wonderful World, a medley of Jump, Jive An' Wail, and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and ending with a fabulous New York, New York which brought the house down. The trio, Pizzaz, sang other favorites including a medley which included Catch a Falling Star and Rock Around the Clock. What a fabulous entertainment array we received. Nancy Ford has consented to come back next month, for our July gathering to sing solo so we're in for a real treat then as well. The 80s Plus Club is a social club and our purpose is a once a month gathering to socialize, enjoy a catered meal, first rate entertainment and to be pampered. It is for 80 years olds and better along with their spouses or significant others (no matter their ages). However, if you're close in age, come on in – we welcome you. Many have joined us before they turned 80 and we are glad to have them, too. You're also welcome to bring guests. Anyone is welcome to join us once to give us a try before actually joining. Annual dues would be due by the 2nd visit. Our August get together will be on Sat., Aug. 6, with Nancy Ford performing solo and the deadline for signing up for that one is July 30. It will be at 3 pm in the South Clubhouse so don't forget to get your checks to Donna Harrington at 5393 Riviera. Please make your checks out to 80s Plus Club, dinners are $16 each and our dues are $10 per year. We will be resume meeting on Sept. 15 and the topic will be Routers and the Cloud 2022. The handouts for this topic can be found on the Sun Lakes website under Computer Club. Each meeting will feature various presentations. This is a great way to share information and learn some of the ways to become an effective computer user.
