| THE COLONY NEWS | JULY 2022 | 9 By Jane Payne Due to the weather getting too warm to schedule a cleanup day, we have officially finished the Golf Course Finger Cleanup Days. Although the cleanups themselves were hard work, the spirit and teamwork of the volunteers were wonderful. It brought out the best in Colony camaraderie. We greatly appreciated those who walked or drove by and thanked us or gave us an encouraging word. Between November 2021 and April of 2022, we had six Cleanup Days and 50 volunteers worked one or more days. We also had 15+ individuals who brought food or water to the cleanup or donated trash bags or vinegar (to kill the weeds). Everyone's efforts were greatly appreciated. I would like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work.
