Tuesday Night Social By Joyce Hansen Petal Pushers Garden Club Our Tuesday, July 26 meeting will start at 1 pm in the Annex and our returning guest speaker will be Bradley Hilliker, a professional landscape architect and Colony resident. Brad will give part two of the 10 Basic Principles of Site Design. If you are looking to redesign your backyard or just make a minor change, this is a great opportunity to learn about garden design and get some inspiration. After the presentation, there will be time for questions. Though snacks will be provided, please bring a beverage of your choice. Seating is limited, so please reserve your seat by contacting Brenda Sindorf at 951-698-7097 or email dancerone@ verizon.net. The Book Readers will meet Wednesday, July 13, at 10:30 am in the Meeting Room to discuss The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. A desperate family seeks a new beginning in the near-isolated wilderness of Alaska only to find that their unpredictable environment is less threatening than the erratic behavior found in human nature. Kristin Hannah elevates a riveting portrayal of homesteading in Alaska in the 1970s. This is a compassionate story of a family's will to endure the unthinkable. Our book for August will be East of the Mountains by David Guterson. The discussion will be led by Brynn Ashford. Book Readers By Patti Christiansen, 608-403-6848
