The June Paddle Tennis tournament was hosted by Herb
Reynolds and Jeanne Bender, who provided food and fellowship
for the monthly challenge. Their breakfast won a "thumbs up,"
and the weather was beautiful. It was a great day on the courts.
The draws were well organized, and the competition was
close, as always. There was a tie in the Men's Division between
Bruce Ray and Wendell Jackson. Sharon Smith won the Ladies
Division by one game.
On June 8, the Racquet Club Ladies potluck luncheon, hosted
by Mary Ann Plummer, Marty Tighe and Jeanne Bender,
gathered using the theme of June Graduations. The ladies
brought their graduation pictures for a "can you identify this
person" contest. There was no Racquet dinner in June as most
of our members were out of town.
