| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2022 | 13 Library Committee We have so many new Four Seasons residents! Welcome to your new home. If you are a reader, make it a point to visit our beautiful library. We have many up-to-date books and a huge selection of puzzles. A couple months back, a great puzzle article was written by Shirley Etemadfar and I gave credit to the wrong committee member. I do apologize and will be running the puzzle article again. Back in 2005, I saw a man working in the room that would become the library and I wanted to be part of that. Hal Townend and I would go through books, including encyclopedias, business books, and computer books. Then Hal became the President of our Board of Directors. The room was filled with tables, meetings were held, and games were played in there. I formed a Library Committee in 2006 and what you see is the result of hard work by all. I am finally leaving the committee and training Betty Crase to be your new champion. Betty will do a fantastic job! My committee loves that room as much as I do and change is good. I want to thank Hal for his support in changing the room to what it is today. I won't say good-bye as I'm not moving and I'm a reader, so you'll see me in the library. One issue that has not been resolved is that residents bring up their discarded and old books for us to take care of. We have written about it and posted signs and still we have maybe 30 plus bags a month to cart off. You can put them in your recycle bin! To the left is a picture of the books thrown on the floor for us to take care of. Please stop this. Our hardback fiction is displayed from 2013-2022. We now have so many 2022 paperbacks that we need to change the dates again. Paperback fiction will be displayed from 2019-2022. And our magazines are those from the last three months. We don't hold formal meetings July and August but will return in September. Our Four Seasons Author talks will resume then. I am proud to announce that Harold Feigenbaum will be speaking. We have his books in the library to check out. A positive side to the pandemic is our Four Seasons authors wrote new books! ~ Cookie Scott Call us for special rates on selling homes for our Four Seasons Hemet neighbors!
