| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2022 | 27 July is an exciting month for Quilters as this year's SoCal Summer Quilt Run is hosted by 13 Quilt Shops from as far northwest as Oxnard, east to Palm Desert, and south to San Diego. Called the Let's Eat Cake Quilters Run, it begins July 14 – 17 and completes July 21 – 24, with the following hours: Thursday – Saturday 9 am – 6 pm; and Sunday 10 am – 4 pm. For info, go to the website quiltersrun.com and plan some fun excursions with quilting friends. On Thurs., July 21, we are organizing a one-day excursion to three stores in Glendora, Redlands, and Beaumont, with lunch planned along the way. We will rendezvous in the small southwest parking lot adjacent to The Lodge at 9 am, arrange carpools, and depart by 9:15 am. Drivers are compensated for gasoline expense by their passengers. If you are interested in joining us for this trip, please contact Diane or Sharon directly so we can begin our Attendance Roster. As our BoHo Heart quilts are nearing completion (pictured above is Diane Best's partial BoHo Heart), we will be venturing into paper piecing and applique techniques for our next Club project, focused potentially on one of the popular Row by Row Quilt designs. Many members bring with them to our Sew-Togethers individual projects they are working on (pictured above by members Pat Spurgeon and Janet Graham). For those who participated in the BoHo Heart Design, we observed that quilting is as unique as the quilter. Following the same pattern, but sewing with individual choices of fabric, color, and style, each quilt resulted in being uniquely different. Seasons Quilters are a diverse group, from beginners to seasoned quilters. Sewing together has become time we all look forward to and we enjoy welcoming new members. Meeting every first and third Thursday in the Arts & Crafts Room from 12 noon to 4 pm, we often continue sharing our time together breaking bread in the Bistro. For more information about quilting, activities, fun projects, and forming forever friendships through this wonderful hobby of quilting, stop by the Arts & Crafts Room and see what's sewing! We would love to meet you. All Four Seasons residents are welcome to meetings and excursions.
