Seasoned Solos
Hello to all! The Seasoned Solos group was busy as bees last
month beginning with a wonderful Fourth of July party at Sandra
Leoni's home. We had a BBQ and everyone brought a dish to
share. After the delicious potluck we played games and enjoyed
great conversations with our Four Seasons neighbors. Our thanks
to our gracious host Sandra for sharing her beautiful home for
our party!
The Redlands Bowl summer concerts are back and we attended
Debby Boone along with the tribute to Johnny Cash. Both concerts
were fun and we had a great time. We remembered to bring a
cushion for sitting on the hard benches so we were nice and comfy.
So let's jump into our dining selections for the month. First
was a birthday breakfast for Brenda Burdine and Theresa Lee
at Carolyn's Café in Redlands (top photo, right). We had a large
group of 17 and we all sat together at one long table made from
several small tables. The food was both delicious and fresh and
the service was wonderful.
We also went to Woody's BBQ in Grand Terrace for BBQ (center
photo, right). They have a full menu and our group selected a
variety of meals. We enjoyed fun conversations with our fellow
Solos members; we always enjoy spending time together.
We saw Top Gun: Maverick at the 2nd Street Cinema and we
filled an entire row of seats. We all enjoyed the movie and had the
photo op with the movie poster (bottom photo, right). We then
went to Chili's' for dinner.
The Four Seasons Amphitheater concert DysFUNKsion was
attended by a small group of Seasoned Solos. The hot weather
was a deterrent for several of us, but those who attended had
drinks and snacks to share and enjoyed the evening.
The Seasoned Solos group is a great social group to join. We
venture to a variety of places and events so please bring your ideas
of where you would like to go. We'll see you at our next meeting
on Aug. 5 at 6 pm in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room. Remember
to bring your calendars as we schedule our outings at the meeting.
