Quilting Enthusiasts The Quilting Enthusiasts are working diligently as we prepare for our Second Annual Quilt Show on Sept. 10 in The Lodge Ballroom. We welcome another new member, Linda Gaylor. Linda has been quilting for some time and showed us a beautiful bag that she made, (picture below). Various members of the group asked Linda if she would teach us all how to make our own bag at a future sit-n-sew. Watch for details in a future Breeze issue for a class. Our members have been busy making beautiful quilts for donation and for family members as well as for the Quilt Show. Speaking of the quilt show, we want to announce that there will be two raffle quilts! Tickets will be $1 each. Below (center) is a photograph of the first Raffle quilt. Is was custom quilted by Carol Young of The Quilted Garden. She did an absolutely beautiful job. Close-up pictures will be provided in the next issue of the Breeze. Ceramics Class has something for the novice crafter looking for a new hobby or someone who has experience and wants to create unique designs or pieces for friends and family. In addition to individual projects, we offer class projects throughout the year to teach new techniques. Come and join in the fun; drop by the Arts & Crafts Room to see our monthly ceramics class schedule and learn more about our upcoming class projects. We meet Wednesdays from 1 to 4 pm. Please see the class schedule for any exceptions. A certified instructor and/or an experienced class team lead is available to support your crafting needs; participation is at your own pace and frequency. We welcome all levels of knitters and crocheters to join us. We also welcome anyone interested in learning how to knit or crochet.
