Bocce Club
The Bocce Club is happy to announce the first members of the
5-Point Club. To be included in the 5-Point Club, a member must score
a bocce and have the team earn four points in a single frame. This
month the eight first-time members are Richard Pede, Anita Simons,
Fern Laethem, Bob Goldstein, John Abdelaziz, Dea Abdelaziz, Anna
Grinshpun, & Fran Goldstein. All five points were earned playing on
a two-person team.
June total of 169 bocce's tied with May's total. Congratulations
to Tom Silva for 1st place honors with Bob Goldstein and John
Abdelaziz; Larry Bean tied for 2nd; and Mike Simons in 3rd. The
ladies celebrated Fran Goldstein's 1st place, while 2nd place new
member Sandy Ackerman scored 6 bocces, and 3rd place for Dea
Abdelaziz. The couples, Goldstein and Abdelaziz, have kept couples
in the top three for the second month in a row. Congratulations to the
players making their first bocce: Sandy Ackerman, Connie Krause,
Nick Davies, Sheldon Clark, Joan Carpenter, Cliff Singh, Richard
Loftus, Mike Ackerman, and Tim Bearman.
