| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2022 | 11 Hollywood Revisited… a well- attended evening of glamor and glitz. Emcee and pianist, Greg Schreiner, showcased 25 of his over 500 gowns in his personal collection. These beautiful gowns were modeled and introduced by the associated movie and accompanied by musical tributes to Hollywood personalities that we have known from the film and television industry. A magical evening that left you wanting to dance with Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers. Meet Linda… You may have seen her walking her dogs around Olazabal, or volunteering for a number of projects in the community, or splashing in water aerobics, or just enjoying a relaxing evening playing Bingo and 20/20 Hand and Foot. Linda Elliott is the newest member of the Social Committee enjoying the "Four Seasons Community Retiree" lifestyle. Although her roots are still connected in Queens, New York, Linda has lived in Torrance, California for more than 40 years retiring as a Vice President of Marketing for a large insurance company brokering programs for hospitals and schools. Linda believes she has made the successful transition from workaholic to the active life of a Four Seasons retiree. She has literally dived in to a lot of the activities that Four Seasons has to offer. Additionally, she brings her energy and enthusiasm, ideas, and her ability to coordinate multi projects to the Social Committee. Social Committee Facilities Committee As the second half of 2022 is upon us, the age of our community is approaching 20 years. It is the Facilities Committee responsibility to monitor The Lodge, streets and all hard scape in the common areas. The maintenance of our streets is starting with some seal coating repairs. Core sampling of the soil underneath the asphalt is being researched to determine our course of action on future maintenance. The tennis and pickleball courts, by the time this article is printed, should be underway with a full face lift. The job will consist of a new playing surface, new netting on the fence enclosure, painting of the fence posts and new court nets. A notice will be sent out prior to the start and should take several weeks to complete. The vetting of the solar project is still underway ,and the community will be updated on the progress. Our committee consists of 13 members, and we are paired up each month to visually inspect our assets. However, things can be overlooked. Therefore, we rely on everyone in the community to bring any issues to our attention. This can be done by completing a Resident-Communication form at The Lodge front desk. If you would like to attend one of our meetings with a concern or suggestion, please check with The Lodge attendant to schedule a time. We meet at 9 am in The Lodge Conference Room on the first and third Wednesday of the month… Stay cool! ~ Rick Adkins, Co-Chair, Facilities Committee
