| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2022 | 17 Late Bloomers excursions to any garden are always an enjoyable experience, but when coupled with brunch on the terrace of a mansion overlooking a heart-shaped lake while immersed in floral beauty, the experience goes from enjoyable to near perfection. Illustrated in the photos below, our mid-July trip to Grand Traditions proved pure satisfaction judging from the faces of these satiated diners. Late in August, we journeyed south to Encinitas for a full day of visiting Weidners Gardens, the Orchid Farm & Meditation Gardens (for those seeking a few moments of tranquility, and a phenomenal view of the Pacific). Lunch was enjoyed at Swami's (for those health-conscious Bloomers) and Leucadia Pizza (for those needing their Italian fix). September's meeting on the 12th will be hosted by Raenell Pope in her home and garden, located at 8071 Mickelson Way, beginning at 1 pm. On Sept. 28, we will enjoy the historic landmark, and former home of Ole Hanson, the founder of San Clemente. Now a premier Southern California Cultural Center, Casa Romantica is a 501C (3) benefitting the arts, music, horticulture and literature. Sitting high on a bluff with forever views of the beautiful blue pacific, this treasure for the senses is surrounded by 2.5 acres of lush coastal gardens. Lunch will follow, either in the area or San Juan Capistrano, and be decided en route. Late Bloomers normally meets in the Craft Room the second Monday of every month at 1 pm. Until further notice, we are enjoying meeting in the homes and beautiful gardens of our host members. Stay tuned to the Herald for future monthly locations and upcoming trips. Sharing gardening tips, traveling together, learning from each other, and cultivating forever friendships are the blooms growing in our gardens. All residents are welcome to attend meetings and trips. For more information, please contact Sharon Deuber (760) 500-0077 Sharon@ BlackDiamondInvestments.net. Late Bloomers Garden Club
