18 18 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2022 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2022 | Team Sunshine Kindness Award: In August we were excited to present our Kindness Award to Carol Ferber. Jeanne Lincoln stopped at The Lodge front desk and filled out one of the Kindness cards available there. Her comments read: "Carol was that special neighbor who stepped up and coordinated the picture and bio in The Lodge for Ernestine Kulyk's family. Ernestine's family flew in from Germany for the memorial service. Carol was also called to handle other concerns the family had regarding personal documentation which goes along with the passing of an individual. Such kindness needs to be recognized." If you see an act of kindness, please stop by The Lodge and fill out a Kindness card. Colleen Ferguson, Kindness Award Team Lead presents Kindness Award certificate to Carol Ferber Sunshine Décor Team: Who creates the lovely centerpieces we see at the celebrations of life? Sunshine's fantastic Décor Team (at right), of course. Suzanne McGowan, Sharon Sims, Donna McLaughlin and Karen Hikel (not pictured) share their wonderful talents to make each celebration of life special for the family. When our co-chairs meet with the family, they ask about favorite colors, military service, and hobbies. This information is passed to the talented team who turn it into something very special. Passings in Four Seasons: We have received word of the passing of Kevin Snider, Mary Bandy, Mary Lavigne, Jack Harrington and Evelyn Aven. Our team has reached out to these families to extend our condolences and offer our assistance. Sunshine attempts to reach as many of our residents as possible when they need comfort or cheering. If you have a neighbor or friend in Four Seasons who may be dealing with a recent injury, or lingering illness; has suffered the loss of a family member or is feeling blue; please let us know. An unexpected card or phone call can do much to brighten someone's day. Prayer Requests: For those wishing prayer, a request box is provided in the Multipurpose Room. Prayer cards are provided. If you are interested in joining the prayer group, please call Marietta Ruppaner. How to contact Team Sunshine: Caring Connection cards with details of Team Sunshine's services are available at The Lodge. You may also call Co- Chairs Brenda Beers at (951) 306-6670 or Margie Culton at (951) 491-4058. Closing Thoughts: "The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up." ~ Mark Twain "With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning!" Colleen & Carol
