| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2022 | 33
The Bocce season is over and ended July 10, but not before
playing in the Bocce Play Offs. Most of the teams came out that
Sunday and put their teams through the pace to see who could
last till the end and win best team for this year. Not only was the
competition rough and tough, it was hot. The teams were faced
with temperatures hitting 106 degrees that day. So not only was
skill part of the strategy, so was contending to the high temperature
and trying to hold out before collapsing from heat exhaustion. Boy
was that scary; we all agreed that Bocce should start sooner next
year so we don't have the same situation. Two good things came
about after six hours of playing bocce. We had a team placing
second place and a special team placing first. Why was it special?
This team played and competed against five teams to slip right to
the top. Placing second place was the Fireballs holding the green
balls. They are Norm Cass, Sandy Cass, Danle Ramos, and Mary
Ramos. Placing First place was the team, Mission in Bocce Ball.
They are Bobbie Davis, Patt Gililland, Steve Ariano, and Donna
Morrell. Please give them a "Great job! Congratulations!" message
when you see them. They deserve to be recognized for this year as
Best Teams for 2022. A big thank you to all the teams who came
out and played that day, and a bigger thank you for those who
helped this season. Bocce is a team effort and we could not have a
good season without your help.
