Pet Lover's Club Special Summer Event: PLC President, Ellen
Kipple, reports that the event was a huge success, with something for
everyone.
By far the biggest attraction was the San Diego Humane Society's
unusual agreement with Ellen to provide one-year FREE licensing
for any dog's current on their rabies vaccines but facing a hefty
delinquency fee for not applying for the license within a small window
of time. Licensing is required by law in the county and within OHCC.
50 dogs were licensed. Of those 50, 34 were previously vaccinated,
which made it clear that the lack of a fine was an incentive for owners
to make legal residents of their previously vaccinated dogs.
Thanks to: Jennifer Stewart, DMV, of Ranch House Veterinary and
Rehabilitation Services, for providing new low-cost rabies vaccines to
16 dogs, and for microchipping 11 dogs and one cat.

Inspiration Hill
As we walk the trail at Inspiration Hill, we are always impressed by the varied
community inspirations as expressed on the Donor Bricks. The trail begins by honoring
our pioneer OHCC Founders, and continues with those who so bravely served us. There
are bricks honoring family members, beloved pets, and favorite universities.
What is your inspiration? The HOA continues to take orders for your own personalized
bricks. Fill out an order form at the HOA office, and include a check for $75. Your
inspiration brick will help line the trail to the top of the hill!
