As we head into fall, we hope you all had
a wonderful summer. It was wonderful
to be able to get out and visit with family
and friends again. Our groups have kept
busy creating greeting cards and other
Papercrafting treasures through the warm
summer days. Many of our members have
their creations on display in the Art Room
as well as in the display case in the Galleria.
Come by and see what we have been doing.
Did you know handmade greeting cards
are a hot commodity these days?
According to Etsy, searches for greeting
cards were up 73 percent last year over
previous years. It appears a handmade
greeting card seems more personal.
Shoppers seem to like the authenticity and
craftsmanship that goes into a handmade
card. Something that was actually made by
a real person.
This year the Papercrafting Club will once
again host the Fall Arts & Craft Fair. This will
be held in Abravanel Hall Nov. 12 from 9 am
to 1 pm. If you have a craft you would like to
share, applications are available at the front
desk. Vendors are limited to residents only
until Oct. 22. At that time non-residents may
apply based on availability. We have a lot of
very talented artists living in our beautiful
village. We would love to have you join us in
November for what has always been a very
fun day of shopping and socializing.
Again, thank you for all your support!
