OUR FIRST WATER VOLLEYBALL CLUB'S POOL PARTY
On Aug. 19, we celebrated our first pool party with music, food,
activities, and dancing.
We expected attendance to be around 60, but were pleasantly
surprised to have more than 100 party goers who came out to enjoy
the fun!
Our Vice-President, Vicki Manderino, created some amazing pool
activities that brought a lot of fun and laughter to all (Ultimate Water
Basketball, Ping Pong Relay, Wet T-shirt Relay, Watermelon Relay, Big
Ball Volleyball and Lighted Volleyball).
This is our first year as a formal Water Volleyball Club and we
wanted to share the joy that we, as club members, experience when
participating in this great sport by opening our pool party to the
community. We were pleased by how many non-members came and
participated in the event. We started the year with 40 members and
at this time we have grown to over 60 active members.
In November, we move from outdoor play at The Courts to indoors
at The Summit. We hope all of you will consider joining us! ~ Mel
