Jeann would also like to thank the Sun Lakes Follies for inviting her group to perform in this year's Hollywood Palace Show. The three-day show (held Sept. 30, Oct. 1 and 2) was so much fun and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Sheldon Kirschbaum joined the lady tappers in singing Hello Dolly. Beverly International Dancers IDS is pleased to welcome Hai Yan Jackson as our newest member and new teacher of Chinese dance. The IDS Indian dance group was very well received when they performed Chogada Tara on Aug. 27 at the University of Redlands Glen Wallichs Theater. The afternoon was a celebration of India Independence Day and featured a full program of classical and modern Indian dances. Well done, IDS dancers! Aug. 28 was a party to celebrate the success of our early August show. We treated ourselves to dinner and drinks, celebrated birthdays, played games, and once again congratulated ourselves for pulling it off. In September, we started beginner line dance lessons for new people. For October, we will continue with beginner lessons and add new dances each week. Line dance lessons this month are Mondays, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. The lessons are in the South Clubhouse from 6:30 to 8 pm. I know it's early, but we are beginning to think about our Holiday Dance Party. This will be on Mon., Dec. 5 in the South Clubhouse. If you are a beginner and missed the first lessons, please come to the Oct. 3 session.
